Enable API Integration via Email Notifications

To protect corporate data from exfiltration outside the organization, Skyhigh provides API based controls such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Threat Protection, Activity Monitoring, and Configuration & Posture-based controls to a list of sanctioned services. You can enable API integration for unsecured sanctioned services to apply security controls.

To assist you with securing the sanctioned services via API integration, Skyhigh CASB sends out monthly email notifications named SaaS Security Coverage Monthly Report. The email includes the following information:

  • The top 10 sanctioned services for which the granular security controls are not enabled. The list is sorted based on the highest number of users for each service.
  • A CSV file with a complete list of available services, including both API enabled and the services without API integration.

You can enable API integration or edit the notification settings via SaaS Security Coverage Monthly Report.

NOTE:

 By default, the SaaS Security Coverage monthly email notifications is enabled for all users.

  • Product. Click to enable API integration for Skyhigh CASB supported sanctioned services. You will be directed to the Services page. To enable API integration from the Services page, see Enable API Integration for Unsecured Sanctioned Services.
  • Notification Settings. Click to enable or disable email notifications, or go to User > Notification Settings, and then click the bell icon corresponding to the SaaS Security Coverage Monthly Report to enable or disable email notification.

  • CSV. The email attaches a CSV file containing the complete list of services.

The attached CSV file contains the following attributes:

  • Service Name. The name of the sanctioned service.
  • Users. The number of users for the sanctioned service.
  • Data Uploaded. The amount of data uploaded to the sanctioned service. An upload is any activity that is more than 8 KB. 
  • Total Requests. The total number of allowed and denied requests for the sanctioned service. 
  • Status. The status of API integration for the sanctioned service.
