Integrate Skyhigh CASB with Slack Enterprise
Prerequisites
- Credentials for the Org Owner in Slack. These credentials are used to enable API integration in Skyhigh CASB.
- Slack Org Domain URL. This is the unique domain URL of the Slack organization. For example, https://<org>.enterprise.slack.com
- Request Slack to enable Skyhigh CASB for your Enterprise Grid. Any Slack Enterprise customer who wishes to enable integration with Discovery APIs, such as Skyhigh CASB, must submit a request from the Org Owner’s email address to exports@slack.com. This request should include the URL domain of the organization that needs to integrate with Skyhigh CASB.
- Team Under the Enterprise Account. Make sure that at least one Team is created under the Enterprise Grid account.
Integrate Skyhigh CASB with Slack
To integrate Skyhigh CASB with Slack, you must:
- Create a Slack instance in Skyhigh CASB
- Enable Slack API access in Skyhigh CASB
Create a Slack Instance
To create a Slack instance:
- Log in to Skyhigh CASB.
- Go to Settings > Service Management.
- Click Add Service Instance.
- Select Slack, enter a unique name for the instance, and then click Done.
Enable API access for Slack
To enable API access for Slack instance:
- In Skyhigh CASB, go to Settings > Service Management.
- Select the newly created Slack instance from the list of Services.
- Go to the Setup tab, and then click Enable.
- On the Enable API page, Review the prerequisites, select the checkbox, and then click Next.
NOTE: The above-mentioned API integration steps are common for all Slack licenses.
Configure Skyhigh CASB API integration for Slack Enterprise
Complete the initial API integration, and then proceed with the below steps:
- Enter your Slack Enterprise Grid org domain URL, and click Submit.
- Enter the credentials of the Org Owner and log in to your Slack workspace.
- Review the permissions, and click Authorize.
- Select the Slack team to create the quarantine channel. All quarantined files are stored here for administrator review.
- Review the permissions, and click Authorize.
API access is now enabled for your Slack Enterprise in Skyhigh CASB.
After successfully integrating Skyhigh CASB with Slack Enterprise, you can define DLP policies and attach them to your Slack instance.
