Slack Non-Enterprise Known Behaviors

After integrating Slack Non-Enterprise with Skyhigh CASB, the following known behaviors are observed:

  • DLP Policies do not support text content in messages that include uploaded files. If you create a DLP policy with the Delete response action to identify and remove a message containing both text and uploaded files, the policy is not applied to the text in the message. Skyhigh CASB evaluates only the file for DLP.

  • DLP Policies do not support text with special characters or formatting elements in messages. When a message is sent in Slack, only the messages that contain plain text are evaluated for DLP. Messages that contain text with special characters or formatting elements such as '@' mentions, italicized text, links, bullet points, or numbered lists are not evaluated for DLP.

  • DLP Policies do not support direct messages when the admin is not part of the conversation.
