Enable Google Chat API Access in Skyhigh CASB

Limited Availability: Skyhigh CASB for Google Chat is a Limited Availability feature. To enable API access for your Google Chat instance, contact Skyhigh Support

To enable API access for a Google Chat instance:

  1. In Skyhigh CASB, go to Settings > Service Management.
  2. Select the newly created Google Chat instance from the list of Services.
  3. Go to the Setup tab, and then click Enable.

  4. Review the prerequisites, select the checkbox, and then click Next.

  5. On the Provide API Credentials page, click Provide API Credentials.

  6. A pop-up appears. Enter G Suit admin account credentials and authenticate.
  7. Click Continue.

  8. Click Allow.

  9. Click Done.

API access is now enabled for your Google Chat instance in Skyhigh CASB.

NOTE: On the Skyhigh CASB dashboard, go to Incidents > User Activity > Activities to view the Google Chat monitored activities.
