Read Only vs Manage Access

Assign Manage or Read Only permissions when creating a user account:

  • Manage. Grants full modification rights for a function.
  • Read Only. Grants view-only access to a function.

You can configure a read-only user account. This is useful during an audit, for example, a user should have access to records, but should not be able to make any changes to the deployment.

You can create a read-only account for a member of your organization who is interested in reporting only.

Use the Manage and Read Only control access to every aspect of Skyhigh CASB. You can map roles to job positions and assign tasks according to responsibilities. For example, assign Read Only access to Email Templates when creating a Policy Management account to prevent edits. If you need to allow edits later, update the user’s permissions to Manage for Email Templates.
