Trellix OnPrem ePO Common Catalog Removal

The Common Catalog extension includes a help extension, which provides online Help for handling the extension. An extension package is provided on the user interface of Web Gateway under the Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator system settings. The Common Catalog provides lists that can be pushed from a Trellix ePO server to an instance.
For more details see, Common Catalog

In Skyhigh Client Proxy Version 4.9.1 and later, the dependency of Common Catalog Extension has been removed, providing users with a seamless experience when updating the Bypass List and Alternate Redirection List elements.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to consider Enable Retain Policy and Policy Backup before you remove the common catalog extension.

Removal of Common Catalog Extension

The Common Catalog Extension includes two frameworks: Catalog Framework and Core Catalog, both of the frameworks must be removed.

  • Go to Menu > Extensions > Common Catalog > click Remove on Core Catalog and later Catalog Framework to remove the extension.

IMPORTANT: Skyhigh strongly recommends uninstalling the CC extension to mitigate the risks associated with it.

NOTE: With Skyhigh Client Proxy Extension version 4.9.1 or the latest, all the existing SCP Policies with Common Catalog will be ported to the latest UI without any user intervention.
