Logging Client System Requirements
The following are hardware and operating system requirements to install the Logging Client. Make sure that the following requirements are met before installing the Logging Client.
Hardware Requirements
- 8 GB of RAM
- Dual core system with at least 2 CPUs. SSD drives are recommended due to the number of read and write operations that occur
Supported Operating Systems
- Windows Server 2019
- Windows Server 2016
- Windows 10
Manage Logs
When configuring the Logging Client page, you have the ability to choose how you want to manage your collected logs, with options such as Save in a folder and Send as Syslogs.
- Send as Syslogs. If you plan to use Syslog setup, you can calculate the required disk space by using the method, (10 * x) GB where x is the volume of the data that is pulled from the Logging Client per day. For more information on using Syslogs with the Logging Client, see Use Syslog with the Logging Client.
- Save in a folder. If you save files to disk, make sure to regularly delete any files from a disk that have been used, as automatic purging is not yet supported.
