Configure an Egress IP Event

The Egress via Custom IP event is essential to enable users to utilize their dedicated IP. It also plays a key role in determining the necessary steps to take when a custom egress IP is unavailable at a specific Point of Presence (POP) that typically uses a dedicated IP. It systematically identifies the next available operational POP. If this alternative POP is also inaccessible, it activates failure management protocols. If the designated egress IP is inaccessible, you can configure Egress via Custom IP to either block the traffic or allow it to use the Skyhigh shared IP. This selection can be made from the provided list of options.

When configuring any rule except block settings, you can specify the Egress via Custom IP event.

To select the Egress via Custom IP event, proceed as follows:

  1. On the Secure Web Gateway Setup page, click Policy.
  2. Go to Web Policy Policy.
