Remove the Client Software using the Mac Terminal
You can use the Mac Terminal to remove the client software from a macOS computer.
Terminal is a Mac utility that allows you to run UNIX commands on the underlying operating system.
- Open the Mac Terminal.
- If you are using Client Proxy version 4.6.0 or later execute this command:
sudo /usr/local/McAfee/uninstall SCP
- Provide root credentials if prompted.
- If you are using Client Proxy version 4.5.0 or earlier execute this command:
sudo /usr/local/McAfee/uninstall MCP
- Provide root credentials if prompted.
- If the un-installation fails, execute the command:
sudo /usr/local/McAfee/Scp/bin/Uninstall.sh
The SCP client software will be removed from the macOS computer.

In order to remove the Trellix agent, run the mentioned commandsudo
/Library/McAfee/agent/scripts/uninstall.sh
This command is useful only when all the other Skyhigh Security products are uninstalled from the system.
