About Email Templates

Limited Availability: To access the Preview and Delete actions, contact Skyhigh Support or your account manager for assistance. 

Skyhigh CASB provides pre-configured email templates for generating email notifications. You will receive notifications when specific response actions have occurred in association with a DLP Policy. You can customize these pre-configured email templates to suit your organization's needs. The templates can include variables that dynamically represent details of the DLP incident, such as Incident ID, User, Incident Updated On, and more. This ensures the email notification provides relevant and specific details to the recipient. 

To enhance effective email notifications with recipients, you can:

Email Templates

To create and manage Email Templates, go to Policy > Policy Settings > Email Templates

The Email Templates page provides the following information and actions:

  1. All Categories. Filter the table by Email Template category. To view the available template categories, see Email Notification Categories and Template Types.
  2. All Types. Filter the table by an Email Template type. To view the available template types, see the Email Notification Categories and Template Types section.
  3. Create Email Template. Click to create a Custom Email Template
  4. The Email Template table provides the following information:
    • Name. Displays the name of the pre-configured Email Template or Custom Email Template. To edit the content of the Email Template, click the template name link.
    • Category. Displays the Email Template category: api Key Management Notifications, Configuration Audit, Connected Apps, Dashboard, Data Loss Prevention, or End User Remediation. 
    • Type. Displays the Email Template type. 
    • Description. Displays the description of the pre-configured Email Template or Custom Email Template. 
    • Last Modified By. Displays information on the user who last edited the template.
    • Last Updated. Displays the date and time when the template was last edited.
    • Action. The Action provides:
      • Preview. Use the Preview icon to review the email content before sending it to the recipients. This option is available for both pre-configured and custom email template types. A sample preview of an email notification template is shown below.

  • Delete. Use the delete icon to remove the custom email templates. This option is available only for the custom email template type. Click Delete to confirm the action on the Delete Template dialog box.

Email Notification Categories and Template Types

The table below describes the available categories, template types, and their corresponding descriptions.

Categories Template Types Description
api Key Management Notifications API Key Nearing Expiry Notification Whenever an API Key nearing expiry notification is triggered, all subscribed users shall be notified via email from the Messenger Service
Configuration Audit Send Email Notification To (Security Configuration Audit) Sent when the Send email notification to response action is included in a policy.
Connected Apps Classify as Under Audit Sent when apps are classified as Under Audit
  Revoke User Notification Sent revoke notification to users of Connected Apps. 
  User Notification Sent to users of Connected Apps.

Sanctioned Incident Storage

Sanctioned Data Retention SKU Alert Email sent to Skyhigh CASB Cloud BU Support and DLP Team, when Customer purchases Additional Data Retention for incident storage.

  Fallback Policy Resources Whenever a Fallback Policy Resources notification is triggered, all subscribed users shall be notified via email from Messenger Service.
  Web Malware Notifications Whenever a Web Malware notification is triggered, all subscribed users shall be notified via email from Messenger Service.
  RBI Notifications Whenever a Web RBI notification is triggered, all subscribed users shall be notified via email from Messenger Service.
Data Loss Prevention Custom Create a Custom Email Template to associate it with a DLP Policy. 
  Delete Sent when the Delete response action is included in a policy.
  Email Block Sent when the Block response action is included in a policy for the Email event. 
  Email Delete Sent when the Delete response action is included in a policy for the Email event.
  Email Quarantine Sent when the Quarantine response action is included in a policy for the Email event.
  Email Quarantine Block Sent when the Quarantined file is Blocked from the Quarantine Management page. 
  Email Quarantine Restore Sent when the Quarantined file is Restored from the Quarantine Management page.
  Email Quarantine Send Sent when the Quarantined file is Sent from the Quarantine Management page.
  Encrypt Sent when the Encrypt response action is included in a policy.
  Modify Permissions To Sent when Modify permissions to response action is included in a policy.
  Per-user Incident Summary

This template is used by Email Summary for automating emails sent to recipients at specified intervals, such as daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

  Quarantine Sent when the Quarantine response action is included in a policy.
  Quarantine Restore Sent when a Quarantined file is Restored from the Quarantine Management page.
  Remove Shared Link Sent when the Remove shared link response action is included in a policy.
  Send Email Notification To Sent when the Send email notification to response action is included in a policy.
  Send Email Notification To (Email DLP) Sent when the Send email notification to response action is included in a policy applicable to incidents generated by scanning email content.
  User Email Notification Sent when the User Email Notification response action is included in a policy.
  User Email Notification (Block Collaboration) Sent when the Block response action is included in an API real-time policy. 
  User Email Notification (Block Shared Link) Sent when the Block response action is included in an API real-time policy.
  User Email Notification (Email DLP) Sent when the User Email Notification response action is included in a policy for an email event.
  User Email Notification (Folder/File Collaboration) Sent when the User Email Notification response action is included in a policy that includes a User Action, Folder/File Collaboration rule.

Sent when the User Email Notification response action is included in a policy that is evaluated with an On-Demand Scan.
