BIOS Upgrade for SWG Model F
This document outlines the steps to upgrade BIOS for Secure Web Gateway model F.
Secure Web Gateway Model F
- Access the Dashboard for current BIOS and firmware details:
- Download the BMC/BIOS/CPLD/VRM package from the Content Security portal.
- Log in to RMM UI.
BMC Upgrade for Model F
To upgrade BMC for model F, perform the following steps:
- Navigate to Maintenance > Firmware Management > Update.
- In the Select Type section, select BMC file format.
- Check the Backup Existing BMC Image requirement and click Next.
The Backup Existing BMC Image option enables usage of the backup of the current BMC image in case of any update failure:
- Click Select File, browse the BMC_X13AST2600-ROT-*.bin file, and click Upload:
- Once the file is uploaded, click Update to start the BMC update process:
NOTE: Once the update process is started, ensure that the UI session doesn’t time out. The BMC will restart after the completion of the update process.
- Navigate to the Dashboard section in the UI and verify whether the BMC is updated to the latest version.
CPLD Upgrade for Model F
To upgrade CPLD for model F, perform the following steps:
- Navigate to Maintenance > Firmware Management > Update.
- In the Select Type section, select CPLD file format.
- Click Next.
- Click Select File, browse the X13DDW_*.jed file, and click Upload:
- Click Power Off to start the update process:
- Navigate to the Dashboard section in the UI and verify whether the CPLD is updated to the latest version.
BIOS Upgrade for Model F
To upgrade BIOS for model F, perform the following steps:
- Navigate to Maintenance > Firmware Management > Update.
- Select the applicable action from the following:
- Immediate update
- Update on next boot
- In the Select Type section, select BMC file format and click Next.
- Browse the BIOS_X13Dthe DW-*STDsp.bin file and click Upload.
Upon uploading the BIOS firmware successfully, you will be prompted to reset the appliance and proceed to the task list:
- Click Task List.
You will be directed to the Task List section, and the BIOS upgrade process will start. - Reboot the appliance to complete the BIOS upgrade.
- Verify the current version of BIOS in the dashboard after a new login.
