Add or Remove System Top Cover

To remove or install the top cover, follow these steps.

Remove the Top Cover 
  1. Power down the system.
  2. Remove the tamper-proof label.
  3. Remove power cords from power supplies.
  4. Allow the power supply fan to spin down.
  5. Loosen the thumbscrew located on the rear of the system cover:

  6. Slide the cover towards the rear.
  7. Lift the cover upward.
Install the Top Cover 

  1. Place the system cover onto the chassis:

  2. Slide the cover forward until the front edge of the system:

  3. Tighten the thumbscrew at the back of the chassis:
