About Hardware Administration Functions and Tools

When running Secure Web Gateway as a physical appliance, you can use built-in functions to monitor the appliance hardware and work with some tools to complete hardware-related administration jobs.

Built-in functions can be used to monitor the behavior of power supplies, fans, memory, and other components of the appliance system.

The tools include:

• Remote Management Module (RMM) with Baseboard Management Controller (BMC)
  
  Beginning with the model E appliances, the default user name when working with the Remote Management Module is mwg.
   
• SNMP Subagent

You can enable the use of these tools after installing Secure Web Gateway.
