Overview

Fortanix DSM is integrated into SWG to provide the Hardware Security Module functionality (HSM).

The HSM is used to protect private keys used in SSL communication. When the HSM is installed, it takes over private key operations for the keys it protects. HSM software is installed on the Web Gateway to allow for integration with the hardware module.
