Provide Credentials for Authenticating to SSE

When connecting to the Secure Web Gateway cloud product, the Secure Web Gateway on-prem product submits a user ID and password. These credentials are submitted for authentication to Security Service Edge (SSE), as the Secure Web Gateway cloud product is a part of this product suite.

The user ID is preconfigured. It is the customer ID that you obtained when you purchased the Secure Web Gateway products for the Hybrid solution. You must provide the password.

  1. On the user interface for the Secure Web Gateway on-prem product, select Configuration > Appliances.

  2. In the navigation area on the left, expand Cluster and select SSE Hybrid.

  3. Provide a password for authenticating to SSE.

    1. Under SSE Hybrid configuration, select SSE Hybrid settings.

    2. Next to Shared password, click Set, then set a password in the window that opens. You can view the preconfigured user ID in the Customer ID field.

  4. Click Save Changes.

The user ID and password are evaluated in an authentication process that is performed using Skyhigh Client Proxy (SCP).
