Configure Settings for One-time Passwords
Settings for one-time passwords are implemented with default values after importing the rule sets that handle the use these passwords. Configure these settings to adapt them to the requirements of your network.
You need to configure different settings for authentication and authorized overriding with one-time passwords.
- Select Policy | Settings.
- On the Engines branch of the settings tree, expand Authentication.
- To configure settings for using one-time passwords to authenticate users, complete the following substeps. Otherwise continue with step 4.
- Click OTP.
The OTP settings appear on the settings pane. - Configure the settings in the One-Time Password Specific Parameters section and the settings in the other sections, which are common authentication settings, as needed.
- Click IP Authentication Server.
The IP Authentication Server settings appear on the settings pane. - Configure the settings in the IP Authentication Server Specific Parameters section and the settings in the other sections, which are common authentication settings, as needed.
- Click User Database at Authentication Server.
The User Database at Authentication Server settings appear on the settings pane. - Configure the settings in the User Database Specific Parameters section and the settings in the other sections, which are common authentication settings, as needed.
Then continue with step 5.
- Click OTP.
- To configure settings for using one-time passwords in authorized overriding, complete the following substeps.
- Click OTP.
The OTP settings appear on the settings pane. - Configure the settings in the One-Time Password Specific Parameters section and the settings in the other sections, which are common authentication settings, as needed.
- Click OTP.
- Click Save Changes.
