Install Skyhigh Client on Windows
This topic details how to install the Skyhigh Client application on Windows.
NOTE: The new Skyhigh Client Policy file format remains unchanged, with a .opg file extension. It supports both the existing SCP policy (now legacy) and the new Mowgli-based Skyhigh Client policy. For more details about creating a policy, see Create a Client Policy.
TIP: To create a policy on SSE UI:
- Skyhigh Client Policy: go to Policy > Skyhigh Client > Policy > New Policy
- Existing SCP Policy: go to Infrastructure > Client Proxy Management > Configuration Policies
Prerequisites
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11
- Skyhigh Client 5.0.0.x

Steps to Install
To install the Skyhigh Client on Windows:
- Download the Client installer.
- Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation.
- Once the installation is complete, copy the downloaded Client policy to the C:\ProgramData\Skyhigh\SC\Policy\Temp directory.
- To launch the Skyhigh Client interface:
- Go to Start > All Programs > Skyhigh Client
OR - Click the System Tray icon
on the taskbar.
- Go to Start > All Programs > Skyhigh Client
The System Tray icon is a dedicated graphical user interface (GUI) component developed by Skyhigh Security to monitor and manage the status of the Skyhigh Client service running on an endpoint. It functions as the primary visual indicator and quick-access point for the Skyhigh Client operational status and logging.
The Skyhigh Client application is launched.
