Disable Client

You can generate an individual code or a primary release code for an end user who needs to disable the Skyhigh Client policy temporarily.

To disable the Client:

  1. Navigate to Policy > Skyhigh Client > Configuration.
  2. On the Client Configuration page, select Tools > Disable Client

  3. In the Identification/Release Code field:
    1. For an individual user:
      1. End User ID code: Selecting this option generates a disable key that enables an end user to temporarily disable the Skyhigh Client policy:
        • End User Name. Enter the name provided by the user.
        • End User Email Address. Enter the email address provided by the user.
        • End User Device Name (Optional)Enter the computer name provided by the user.
        • Business Justification. Enter the approved business reason provided by the user to suspend policy enforcement.
        • Policy Revision Number. Enter the policy revision number provided by the user.
        • Client Disable Duration. Select the duration from the drop-down ranging from 5 minutes to 30 days.
    2. For a user group:
      1. Global Release Code: Selecting this option generates a bypass key that enables a user group to temporarily bypass a specific Skyhigh Client policy:
        • Business Justification. Enter the approved business reason to suspend policy enforcement.
        • Policy Revision Number. Enter the policy revision number.
  4. Click Generate Key.
    The key is generated.
