User Groups

User groups help you manage the HTTP request headers specific to the domain or group format. Make sure to use ‘\\’ in your regular expressions to escape backslashes. If no user groups are configured, all groups associated with the user will be included in the header.

To configure user groups:

  1. Navigate to Policy > Skyhigh Client > Configuration > Client Profile > User Groups
    1. User Groups Header Size (in bytes)
      1. In the User Groups Header Size (in bytes) section, select the appropriate header size from the following:
        • 4K. Select 4K for user groups with multibyte characters. 
        • 8K. Select 8K for user groups with single byte characters. By default, the user group header size is 8K.

NOTE: For user groups with multibyte characters, use Group Header size of 4K.

  1. Add Regex 
    • From the Add Regex drop-down, select Add Inline.

      • Regular Expression. Enter the regular expression that filters the Active Directory user groups. For example, <domain_name>\\<group_name>.
      • Include or Exclude. Select Include to add user groups that match the expressions to a web request, and select Exclude to remove user groups matching the expressions in the web request.
    • From the Add Regex drop-down, select Import CSV to import the file.
    • From the Add Regex drop-down, select Export CSV to export the file.

NOTE: The limitation of group membership information is 4096 characters.

  1. Click Save.
