Client Proxy 4.9.x  Known Issues

Reference

Operating System  Found Version  Found Icon only.png Fixed Version Fixed Icon only.png Description
MCP-6590 Macintosh, Windows 4.9.1 4.9.3

Issue: Policy Revision Number Mismatch between Trellix SaaS EPO and the Client Proxy. Occurs only in a specific user environment.

NOTE: Only the Trellix Saas ePO will show a revision number of (N+1), compared with the endpoint. There is no breakage of client functionality.

MCP-6658 NOTE: This is an ePO issue and is not related to the operating system on which the Client Proxy runs. 4.9.1 4.9.3

Issue: Trellix SaaS ePO - In certain scenarios, when the bypass and alternate redirection list settings are modified (eg. domain name, network Address, port and process list information), the settings do not remain saved when switching between tabs or navigating to another screen before saving the policy.

Workaround:  Before switching tabs, save the policy.

MCP-6978 Windows  4.9.2

Issue: The Client Proxy disconnects from the gateway and refuses to keep redirecting due to a combination of network failures, causing the connectivity checker to halt

Workaround: Reboot SCP to recover.

MCP-7238 Windows  4.9.2

Issue: The Client Proxy goes to a state of no redirection after a certain period of activity while redirecting traffic to the proxy.

Workaround: Reboot SCP to recover.

MCP-7884 Macintosh

4.9.3

Issue: An occasional failure to access websites when the endpoint is brought out of sleep mode.

Workaround: Restart SCP using this command - sudo /usr/local/McAfee/fmp/bin/fmp restart.

MCP-8463 Macintosh, Windows

4.9.3

Issue: Cannot access the IBM AS400 application when it is configured as a Private Application.

IBM AS400 application converts hostnames from lower case to upper case when a user tries to access the configured application. The Client Proxy does a case-sensitive match for private applications. However, because the SSE/ePO converts all configured hostnames to lowercase before sending the list to the Client Proxy, it does not recognize the domain as a private application.

MCP-8466 Macintosh

 4.9.3

Issue: An occasional crash of the Client Proxy service is observed when it attempts to update its status to the Trellix Menulet UI.

MCP-6755 NOTE: This is an ePO issue and is not related to the operating system on which the Client Proxy runs.

4.8.0

Issue: If a policy name is updated from the Policy Catalog page of the ePO, the revision number will not increase.

Workaround: Open the policy and save it to get the updated policy name and revision number reflected on the endpoint.
MCP-6759 Macintosh

4.8.0

Issue:  The Client Proxy is unable to redirect traffic over a T-Mobile iPhone hotspot. This is specific to IPv6 networks.

Workaround: The issue is specific to T-Mobile. Switching to a different mobile carrier resolves the problem.
