Downgrade SWG and Restore Configuration
The Downgrade SWG section explains how to reimage the appliance when a version downgrade is required, and the Restore Configuration section ensures you correctly restore the configuration using the appliance UUID to avoid conflicts and restore system functionality accurately.
Downgrade SWG
NOTE: Downgrading a Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway appliance is not supported. To revert to an earlier version, you must reimage the appliance using the desired version and restore the backup taken prior to the upgrade.
- To reimage the appliance, see Reimage a Secure Web Gateway Appliance.
- Download the required ISO file from the Content & Cloud Security Portal.
- If the Remote Management Module (RMM) is configured, follow the steps as in Reimage an Appliance Using Virtual RMM Media.
Restore Configuration
Before restoring a configuration, ensure it belongs to the correct appliance by verifying the appliance UUID. The backup file contains the UUID of the original appliance. Retrieve the UUID from the target appliance and use it while you restore to ensure the backup is applied to the correct system. For more details, see Restore Configuration.
