Skyhigh Security

How Does Secure Browser Controls Work

The Skyhigh Secure Browser Controls feature works by adding code to selected web pages to operate between the browser and the loaded application. This provides a deeper insight into the traffic passing through the application, permitting enhanced control over applications running in the corporate environment.

Individual Browser Controls features can be enabled or disabled on a per-website basis, permitting different controls based on need to prevent data exfiltration or threat protection. Where applicable, the rules run against the conventional Skyhigh SWG policy, i.e, only one collection of rules must be maintained to achieve consistent protection across all vectors.

The scoping criteria on each ruleset determines the pages where the Skyhigh code will be added. It is not related to the location that JavaScript within the page might be transacting with. Where applicable, additional controls are provided within the ruleset to determine when the Skyhigh features are activated.
