About Secure Browser Controls
Skyhigh Secure Browser Controls is a specialized set of security rules within the Skyhigh SSE platform. It monitors the actual behavior of the web browser in real-time to prevent data exfiltration attempts, even on unmanaged or BYOD devices. It adds Skyhigh code to browser sessions to improve the end user experience, and provide stronger inspection capabilities than are normally possible. It is compatible with any web browser and users can use their preferred browser.

NOTE:
- This feature is only available in standard view, not in simple view. For more details about view, see Using Different Views for Working with Secure Web Gateway. You can only have one instance of each rule set. Post the import operation, the Ruleset does not appear in the Ruleset Library for further imports.
- Browser Controls rules modify web browser behavior within the context of each visited website. They aim to minimize impact on the sites the browser visits, and Skyhigh tests them across a wide range of locations. In rare cases, certain features may not work on some sites or may cause unexpected behavior. Each rule allows scoping to disable its operation on problematic sites if issues occur.
