Skyhigh Client 5.0.0 Release Notes
About this Release
This release introduces the new Skyhigh Client 5.0.0, the latest version of its endpoint Client, offering a significant upgrade in flexible traffic selection and steering for both web and non-web traffic. It continues to locally intercept and securely relay network traffic to policy enforcement gateways located either on-premises or in the cloud. Currently, Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway (On-Prem and Cloud), Skyhigh Private Access (Cloud Only), and Skyhigh Cloud Firewall (Cloud Only) are integrated with the unified Skyhigh Client. The integration is seamless across all types of deployments - On-Prem, Cloud, or hybrid. For more details, see Skyhigh Client documentation.

NOTE: Trellix ePO & MDM users are recommended to disable the Client auto-update feature, as this release version does not support auto-upgrade.

Support Multiple Gateways
The Skyhigh Client Management UI enables admins to define multiple gateways and configure them within the policy, facilitating seamless traffic redirection. For more details, see Gateway List.

Define Granular and Flexible Policies
The Skyhigh Client Management UI enables admins to create various customized policies for different categories of users. For instance, an admin creates distinct policies for the HR Department, Finance, and Engineering. This can be achieved by cloning existing policies and making necessary adjustments rather than creating them from scratch. For more details, see About Skyhigh Client Policy.

Customizable Client Profiles
The Skyhigh Client Management UI enables admins to create multiple Client profiles for different categories with no restrictions on defining the number of Client profiles. Additionally, each Client policy is mapped to one Client profile and changed anytime, when required, for effective implementation. For more details, see About Client Profile.

Enhanced Visibility in the new Client UI
At the endpoint, the Skyhigh Client features an enhanced and redesigned user interface for improved visibility and troubleshooting. The endpoint UI application employs a left-hand panel that provides access to key tabs such as Home, Client Overview, Connectivity, Log Capture, and Disable Client, while the right-hand panel displays detailed information. This allows users to monitor the real-time connectivity and traffic redirection status to on-prem or Cloud-based policy enforcement gateways (Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway, Private Access, Cloud Firewall).

NOTE:
- The Skyhigh Client is compatible with the existing Skyhigh Client Proxy policy. However, Skyhigh recommends migrating to the Skyhigh Client policy for enhanced traffic management.
- Skyhigh Client 5.0.0 Beta program users who used the policy migration module to create V2 policies are recommended to delete them and recreate the existing SCP policy as V2 policy for continued usage.
- Skyhigh recommends verifying the enablement of Skyhigh Client UI on your tenant in case it is not visible.
